Earl Spencer has doubled down on his allegations against the King, calling the monarch’s remarks about his sister ‘monstrous’.

In a memoir charting the story of his late sister Diana, the earl quoted Charles, then the Prince of Wales as saying of his ex-wife ‘we’ll forget her soon enough’.
