Tributes have been paid to the wildlife TV presenter and comedian, Bill Oddie, who has died, aged 85.
He achieved fame in the BBC comedy series The Goodies in the 1970s and wrote spin-off pop singles for the trio, including the 1975 top ten hit ‘Funky Gibbon’. He was passionate about protecting birdlife and went on to host a number of successful nature programmes including ‘Bill Oddie Goes Wild’ and ‘Springwatch’.
