The remains of a stillborn baby were left in an envelope on the cold room floor of a funeral home for almost two years.

Just one of the shocking stories emerging in Robert Bush’s sentencing as dozens of relatives paid tribute to their loved ones defiled at his Hull-based Legacy Independent Funeral Directors.

Downdetector data suggests hundreds of reports of problems with high street giants Halifax, Lloyds and Barclays beginning at about midday.

One individual reported an error message when trying to send funds from a Lloyd’s credit card from a current account with helplines jammed.

A man and a woman have died after being pulled from the water at one of Cornwall’s most popular beaches.

Emergency services were called to Fistral Beach in Newquay at around 9.45pm on Sunday following reports that two people had been recovered from the sea.
